The BEST Burgers in Town

While, once inside you may think you're in a 'dive', this place has the absolute burgers anywhere! My mouth is watering just thinking about them. Friendly quirky bar atmosphere, lovely deck out back to enjoy the weather and view of the Thames. The staff is friendly and so the (sometimes) rough-looking clientele. Like the sign out back says; Warm Beer, Lousy Food and the Blues. Don't miss it.

Extra Napkins

Friendly atmosphere but more importantly they have awesome, delicious, juicy burgers! Very tasty!!!!

The House is Rockin

Great neighborhood place. FANTASTIC burgers!!!! Oh, they're soooo good it's sinful! Very good and full menu to choose from. The bar atmosphere is friendly so don't be afraid of the bikers that may be hanging around...they're people too! Take your sweetheart on a Friday or Saturday night and rock out with live music.

Bring A Full Wallet

Tasty but expensive. Portion sizes as well as pizzas are very good and well prepared but they're rather small and over-priced. Though they do have a good thin crust. Nice staff and atmosphere but if you're looking for a really good pizza (and assorted pizzeria foods) on a budget or for more than 2 people go down the street to Ocean Pizza. Last time we did Recovery Room we paid almost $40.00 for two pizzas and one salad. Tasty but not exactly worth the price.

Don't Miss It!

Yummy! Delicious! Fantastic! Friendly service and wonderful people. I didn't even like BBQ when Chester walked into my office after having opened his little hole-in-the-wall place but I knew my husband would want to try it. That was three or more years ago and we can't stop going back. If you love BBQ this is the place to go...forget Russell's Ribs! If you don't like BBQ...give this place a shot, it just might change your mind!

The building itself is old, rundown and dirty. The service is anything but friendly. If you want KFC go to the one in Groton!

Long Time Eater

I've been eating at Ocean Pizza for the last 40+ years, it's right down the street from me and is a great neighborhood place. All of the dishes are delicious and the staff is always friendly. Sam and the crew are truly New London icons. One drawback-they don't accept debit/credit cards or checks. So go with cash and a few good friends. You won't be sorry.
